Section 268
Hearing to be held in open court
(1) The court shall hear the case in open court.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if it is deemed inappropriate to hear an application made by a party to an open case or if the court deems it appropriate to hear a case from a closed bench because the case related to family relations, maintenance of relationship, marriage or divorce should be heard by a closed bench, the court shall Will order the hearing to be held in closed session.
(3) According to sub-section (2), if the hearing is ordered to be held in a closed courtroom, the entry of persons other than the parties or their heirs, legal practitioners appointed by the parties, persons ordered by the judge or employees shall be prohibited in such courtrooms.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this section, if the court deems it necessary to prevent a person from entering the courtroom for reasons of public safety, the court may prevent such person from entering the courtroom.
